Ulun Danu Temple at Beratan is the most photographed temple on the island and is one of the iconic images of Bali. The temple sits on the western shore of Lake Beratan therefore giving the illusion of floating on the water. Built in 1633, the temple is devoted to Dewi Danu, goddess of the lake.
In the other side, Ulun Danu is also one of the beautiful place to watch the sunrise in Bali. It feels utterly surreal seeing the temple emerging from the morning mist, with the glistening quiet lake and lush green mountains towering on the background. In addition, hiring a paddle boat is also a good option to take in all the dreamlike landscape. It is such a beautiful temple in a truly stunning setting.
Bali Botanical Garden, A well maintained forest with many preserved old trees and collection of beautiful orchird
Handara Gate, The famous gate of golf resort mainly for just a selfie.
Wanagiri Hidden Hills, Some places intentionally made for Instagram selfie photo
Twin Lakes View Points, A beautiful spot to see the lake Buyan and Tamblingan from the top hill of Munduk
Banyumala Waterfall, A truly beautiful waterfall in the middle of Wanagiri.
Admission is IDR 20.000/person.
This temple is quite touristy in the afternoon, therefore I suggest to visit in the early morning, lets say before 9am.
A traditional boat can be hired to explore the lake and surrounding area
