About Puri Saren Ubud Palace.
Located in the heart of Ubud, Puri Saren Agung was the palace of the kings of Ubud until the 1940s, and it is now inhabited by the last king’s descendants. Parts of the complex are off limits to the public, but entry to the rest is free. You can wander around most of the large compound exploring the many traditional and not excessively ornate buildings.

You will see the real Bali architecture still maintained around this palace. Take time to appreciate the stone carvings, many by noted local artists like I Gusti Nyoman Lempad. If you visit this palace on Sunday morning you will see Ubud girls and boys learn Balinese dance from 9am till 10.30am. The courtyard of the palace is also the best setting for Balinese traditional dance performances where tourist can enjoy the performance in most evening that start at 7:30pm.
Do I Have To Pay Admission?
No, Admission is Free of Charge but if you would like to watch the dance performance at night, ticket entrance fee of Rp. 100.000/person is applied.
